Rep Hays Signs “It Can Wait” Pledge Against Texting while Driving

On November 30, State Representative Chad Hays joined the 7.6 million drivers who have voluntarily taken a pledge to not to text while driving.

“The “It Can Wait” campaign encourages drivers to keep their eyes on the road and not on their phones,” said Hays. “In a recent AT&T survey, nearly four in ten drivers admitted to using social media on their phones while they were driving. No message is worth risking your life.”

According to Hays, AT&T and high school students from Danville High and First Baptist issued the challenge to sign the pledge to the entire community. Hays is shown signing the pledge with State Senator Scott Bennet and Danville Mayor Scott Eisenhauer.

“I would encourage everyone to go to, and take the pledge,” Hays said.
